Achieve organic and unique effects! For the extrusion technique with the Matt Gun, Wax Pellets come in three different colors formulated for three distinct results:
Blue Wax for modeling on an object such as a mandrel to make bands and shanks, on a straw to make links for detailed projects, and a variety of other surfaces to achieve unique effects. Because of the wax's flexibility, modeling in air is another technique which can yield exciting results. A special advantage of this method is the ease with which designs can be woven around stones.
Red Wax for the wax-weaving technique expands upon the creative possibilities of the Matt Gun extruding technique. Here, red weaving wax is first extruded into threads, which are then knotted or woven to form the model. The malleability of the red wax lends naturally to the techniques of macramé, crochet and weaving, opening up a new dimension in jewelry model making.
Green Wax for designing on water. The Matt Gun's ability to shoot a controlled stream of melted wax into liquid yields a distinct flattened texture. This medium is almost exclusively for the creation of abstract spontaneous designs, that with practice, can be controlled to an extent.
